To ensure a great public education for every student, education support professionals (ESPs) want and deserve high-quality professional development and support at every stage of their careers.
Education Minnesota provides its members with training in many areas, including professional learning, negotiations, communications, human and civil rights, and political action. Our workshops are always high quality and are offered to members at no cost.
Education Minnesota also hosts events during the year, including the Collective Bargaining and Organizing Conference, MEA, and the Summer Leadership Conference.

Each local union has a dedicated staff person who provides direct support to you and your local. That includes help bargaining your contract and making sure the terms of the contract are enforced.

LEGAL ADVICE & REPRESENTATION
A dedicated legal team is crucial in guiding union members through legal complexities by providing education, advice, and representation. Union attorneys educate members and leadership on a range of legal issues affecting their workplace rights and responsibilities. They offer counsel on collective bargaining, union formation, and legal aspects of employee termination.
Additionally, they work with unions to develop effective bargaining strategies and manage legal matters related to property, taxes, government reporting, pension plans, and insurance, ensuring smooth operations within the legal framework.
